KEIM Dispersion Remover is an environmentally friendly, non-hazardous paint stripper for the removal of existing acrylic-bound paints.

KEIM Dispersion Remover is an environmentally friendly, non hazardous paint stripper for the removal of existing paint finishes from mineral substrates prior to the application of KEIM Mineral Paint systems. It is particularly well suited for the removal of acrylic paints, it is also an effective paint softener for use with a high pressurised wash system, such as the ThermaTech or DOFF systems.

KEIM Dispersion Remover is particularly effective for the removal of plastic paints such as latex and acrylic.

Consumption rate: 0.3-1kg per square metre depending on paint layers

Surface preparation

Remove as much unstable material as possible using a stiff brush or scraper. Score the surface where there are multiple paint layers to assist penetration.

Material application

  1. Liberally brush apply KEIM Dispersion Remover onto the surface. The layer of KEIM Dispersion Remover should be thicker than the layer(s) of paint to be removed.
  2. Cover the area using plastic film. KEIM Dispersion Remover should not be allowed to dry out.
  3. KEIM Dispersion Remover can remain on the surface up to 30 hours, depending on the number and thickness of existing paint layers.
  4. Remove plastic film and use a scraper, brush and warm water or a high-pressure hot water washer to remove paint residue. 

NOTE: Protect surrounding materials. Wear light breathing masks, rubber gloves and and eye protection during application and removal of KEIM Dispersion Remover.
