Teknos Futura 40 Semi Gloss Furniture Paint

Teknos Futura 40 Furniture Paint is a thixotropic urethane alkyd paint with a semi-gloss finish. Suitable for use on wooden and primed metal surfaces both internally and externally.

Best Uses

Teknos Futura 40 Furniture Paint is ideal for use as a top coat on wooden and primed metal surfaces. Suitable for use on detached furniture both indoors and outdoors. Please note, dark colours will absorb the heat more outdoors, and can therefore become hotter than their equivalent lighter colours.

Application

The surface to be painted must be clean. Wash previously painted surfaces with Rensa Super paint cleaner. Remove loose and poorly adherent paint coats. Remove any rust from the metal surfaces with a wire-brush. Sand any hard or gloss surfaces and then remove the dust particles. Fill cracks and crevices with Silora A Carpentry Filler.

Matt down the surfaces and remove the dust. Prime metal surfaces with Teknos Ferrex anti corrosive Paint. Prime unpainted wooden, chipboard and also surfaces that have been painted with alkyd, oil or acid-curing paint with Futura 3 Adhesion primer.

The paint is thixotropic and must be stirred thoroughly before use. Apply by brush, roller or spray. Suitable airless spray nozzle is 0.011 - 0.013". When applying by spray, thin the paint 5 - 15% by volume with Teknosolv 9500. When a second coat is required, it can be applied on the following day.

The surface to be painted has to be dry. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the paint shall be above +5°C and the relative air humidity below 80%.
