Teknos Teknocryl Aqua 2940 is an air drying, water borne topcoat for direct adhesion onto most powder coated surfaces and ABS and polystyrene plastic.
Best Uses
Teknos Teknocryl Aqua 2940 is a resistant to oil and water coating for electrophoresis powder coated surfaces and certain plastics. An ideal product as a cosmetic coating for previously powder coated surfaces such as frameworks or chassis.
Application
The substrate must be free from grease, rust and mill scale. In a repair on top of earlier treated surfaces, we recommend a slight grinding. Adhesion and any attack at the painted surface should be tested before final coating of the surface. The surface to be painted must be dry. When coating and curing, the temperature of the air, paint and surface must be above 15°C and the relative air humidity below 70%.
Apply using air spraying equipment. Adhesion to the substrate should be tested before production, as different varieties may occur depending on the type of substrate / plastic.
