Teknos Timantti Stop Stain Blocking Primer

Teknos Timantii Stop is a water-borne alkyd based stain blocking primer for indoor use to cover up and fixes discolourations caused by soot, nicotine and water damage.

Best Uses

Teknos Timantii Stop is formulated for use on previously painted and unpainted soiled concrete, stopper and building board surfaces which can not be washed or otherwise cleaned before top coating. Teknos Timantti Stop is suitable for application to walls and ceilings as well as doors, windows and other fixed furniture indoors in dry and humid spaces and in wet rooms.

Teknos Timantii Stop efficiently insulates and fixes discolourations caused by soot, nicotine and e.g. water damages. Surfaces insulation primed with Teknos Timantii Stop can be top coated with all Teknos interior paints which otherwise suit the object in question. Teknos Timantii Stop is white and full-matt and hence can be used also as a top coat e.g. on ceilings. Teknos Timantti Stop also helps prevent tannins from wood knots grinning through.

Application

Clean the surface from dirt and dust as well as possible. Wash water-resistant dirty surfaces with Teknos Rensa Super paint cleaner. Remove loose and poorly adherent coats of old paint. Matt down hard or gloss surfaces by sanding and thereafter remove the dust. For smoothing of irregularities in the surface choose a suitable filler from the SILORA series. The dried filler is sanded down and the dust removed. Steel surfaces are primed with Teknos Ferrex Aqua Anti corrosive paint.

Teknos Timantii Stop is a water-borne paint. Coatings, which are not waterproof, such as old unpainted ceiling stopper or glue paint coats, must be removed before applying Teknos Timantii Stop. Alternatively Teknos Futura 3 adhesion primer can be used as an insulation primer.

Before use stir the paint thoroughly. The paint can be diluted with water, if required, but dilution may impair the insulation capability and the coverage of the paint. Apply once or twice by brush, roller or spray. Recommended nozzle size for airless spray is 0.013 - 0.017''.
