PRODUCT DETAILS

Watco Cold Set Coating uses the latest polyaspartic resin technology to provide a high quality, highly wear resistant coating that can be applied at low temperatures where conventional coatings will fail to dry.

Best Uses

Watco Cold Set Coating is the ideal product to use for refurbishment and maintenance in unheated areas during the cold winter months. This includes area's such as, warehouses, workshops, loading bays, walk-in-fridges and freezers and cold stores.

It's exceptional UV resistance also makes it ideal for exterior application, as it resists chalking, weather and fading.

This tough, glossy coating is smooth and easy to clean and maintain.

Slip Resistance

If a slip resistance finish is required, please see Watco Safety Coat Cold Cure (Wet PVT 47) instead.

Application

Always ensure the surface is fully prepped prior to application. The surafce should be -10°C or above and free from ice and water. The concrete to be treated must be at least four weeks old, completely dry and free of contaminants. As a guide, new concrete should be left for 8 weeks to dry. Any oil or grease should be removed with Watco Bio D (or a similar emulsifying degreasant) and the area thoroughly washed off and allowed to dry.

Very smooth concrete, or concrete with surface laitance (a weak dusty layer), should be abraded or etched to ensure adequate adhesion. The concrete should be thoroughly washed down and allowed to dry after treatment.

On power floated surfaces Watco Powerfloat Primer is recommended, but please note this must be fully cured before over-coating.

Please read the product data sheet for full application instructions.
